Wynalda Litho wraps WALL-E in all-paper packaging

By Wendy Wilson -- Video Business, 12/8/2008

Dec. 8 | Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment's DVD release of WALL-E arrived at retail last month in packaging as concerned with the environment as the movie itself.

Wynalda Litho, the Belmont, Mich.-based packaging and printing concern, produced all-paperboard packages for the single, double and triple-disc editions of WALL-E. The packaging was free of any plastic.

The WALL-E packages were taken from Wynalda Litho's Wyn-Slide line of products, lighter packages with a slim design that provide suppliers the opportunity to increase the number of units in each shipment.

In addition to the green appeal of the packaging, WALL-E's Wyn-Slide containers also gave the creative minds behind the film more room to promote it, offering almost three times the graphic space as competitive paper and plastic packages.
