French VOD market may double

FROM VARIETY: Survey finds 61% increase in downloads

SEPT. 24 | FROM VARIETY: PARIS -- The Gallic video-on-demand market could double in value in 2008, according to a joint study released this week by research group GfK and French media consultants NPA Conseil.

The survey found that around 6 million VOD downloads were made during the first six months of 2008, nearly a 61% increase over the same period a year earlier.
