AUG. 29 | Arts Alliance America is planning an Internet marketing campaign designed to generate more than half a million impressions among horror fans for upcoming release Plasterhead.

Launching Sept. 17, the electronic initiative will include a dedicated Web site, www.plasterheadmovie.com, supported by a viral marketing campaign.

Hundreds of horror Web sites will be targeted. A consumer sweepstakes will include free copies of the movie.

The DVD also will be promoted on the film’s MySpace profile, which is being visited weekly by about 1,000 horror fans. A YouTube profile and channel also will target horror fans.

Banner ads will appear on Fangoria.com, BloodyDisgusting.com and other horror Web sites, creating more than 200,000 impressions.

The movie’s theatrical trailer will be posted on 30 of the most visited cinema/horror fan blogs.

At the Plasterhead site and more than 100 other horror sites, fans will be invited to send in their favorite “urban myth” that has haunted their neighborhood, with the winner to receive $500.

Plasterhead comes to DVD Oct. 2 (prebook Sept. 4; $19.98).

The movie tells the story of four college friends from New Jersey who become holed up in an abandoned warehouse, where they uncover the legend of Plasterhead. Scream Queen Raine Brown stars in the film, which was an official selection at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival and the Evil City Film Festival.
