Amazon's disc-burning service moves into new offerting

JAN. 12 | Amazon.com is developing technology to allow small suppliers and independent filmmakers to manufacture discs on demand in the HD DVD and Blu-ray format through its CustomFlix service.
Amazon bought CustomFlix in July and circulated broad news of its high-definition plans at the recent Consumer Electronics Show, but execs were unavailable to discuss details.
CustomFlix publishes obscure and independent DVDs for small suppliers by burning a disc of a film when a customer orders it.E-mail Jennifer Netherby
