Apple to support HD DVD?
October 18, 2006

Apple rumor site Think Secret claims to have obtained documents that hint that Apple will back HD DVD in addition to Blu-ray. Apple is a member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, but so far hasn't said when it plans to begin including Blu-ray drives in its computers. Think Secret doesn't give any more details on what documents it has obtained or what Apple's plans are, aside from saying that the company may include support for both high def disc formats in Final Cut 7 out early next year.

Another Apple rumor site, MacRumors, points out that Intel, which Apple switched to for its computer processors this year, is in the HD DVD camp.
