Consumers are watching online

January 4, 2007

The CES onslaught is already starting...
CBS Research just put out a survey on consumer habits showing that nearly half of consumers who know that TV shows are available on the Internet have actually watched online. According to the survey, 56% of consumers said they were aware that network television shows were being streamed online. Of those 46% had actually watched one program online. Of those that didn't know shows were streamed online, 62% said that they would probably watch one of the shows that is available online.
CBS also said that consumers are more connected - by the fall of 2006, 30% had a broadband connection and digital TV in their home, compared to 22% the previous year.
