Download before DVD

Viz Media has brought the first four episodes from the new story arc of its
Naruto: Shippuden anime series to
iTunes for download-to-own "well in advance of the eventual DVD release," said
Ken Sasaki, VP of strategy and business development for Viz, in an announcement made at
Comic-Con July 24.
The company will spark the interest of the ninja series' teen and tween target audience by offering the
first episode free until Aug. 31. Four more episodes will follow in October.
