First Look has some smaller, but interesting-looking titles coming out. Name actors in movies many people won't have heard about.
Bowing Aug. 19 (prebook July 15) is a Showtime movie starring Catherine Keener as the real-life Indiana housewife who improsoned and tortured a teenager (especially hot right now Ellen Page) in a basement. An American Crime also stars Spider-Man's James Franco and West Wing's Bradley Whitford. It will be priced at $24.98.
Then on Aug. 26 (prebook July 22) comes Josh Hartnett starrer August (called August, streeting in August -- ok, not that funny) about a dot-com entrepreneur (Hartnett) who fights to reunit with his girlfriend (Pirates of the Caribbean's Naomi Harris), retain control of his company from an investor (David Bowie) and deal with family problems with his father (Rip Torn) and brother (Adam Scott of Knocked Up). It will be $28.98.
And on Aug. 5 (prebook July 1), Heather Graham plays a broody 33-year-old who dumps her boyfriend because he doesn't want to have kids in Miss Conception. The L Word's Mia Kirshner plays Graham's best friend. Priced at $24.98.
