Underworld: Rise of the Lycans DVD, Blu-ray

Vampires are the realm of teens nowadays, with Twilight grossing $190 million at the box office. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans grossed $45.8 million, but it has the power of a franchise behind it, and werewolves.

Sony will deliver Underworld: Rise of the Lycans on DVD ($28.96), Blu-ray ($39.95) and for the PlayStation Portable ($24.94) on May 12 (prebook April 9).

The Blu-ray will exclusively offer digital copy, which is playable on PCs, the PSP, Mac and iPod.

The Blu-ray also will have these exclusives:

The third movie in the Underworld franchise is a prequel to the original movie, examining the origins of the blood feud between the vampires and the lycans.
