Nancy Drew DVD
December 7, 2007
Warner's $25.6 million-grossing Nancy Drew, featuring Nick TV star Emma Roberts as the teen detective, will come to DVD on March 11 (prebook Feb. 5) priced at $28.98.
The movie has a solid background given the books' fanbase, but Variety wasn't too favorable on the movie. Here's what reviewer Lael Lowenstein said: "serves up stale mystery-movie cliches and overcooked red herrings in a thoroughly wooden adaptation."
The DVD will offer a gag reel, Joanna's "Pretty Much Amazing" music video, a "mini-featurette gallery of cool scenes with the cast and crew" (so says the sell-sheet) and "Nancy Drew: Kids at Work," where teen and tween fans can get up-close and personal with Roberts herself.
