Friday the 13th DVD, Blu-ray

Marcus Nispel's remake of the horror classic Friday the 13th grossed $65 million at the box office, a nice tidy sum.

The latest movie in the franchise will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 16 (prebook May 12) in two DVD versions (theatrical or Killer Cut extended edition, both priced at $28.98) and on Blu-ray (with both the theatrical and extended cut for $35.99).

Warner's theatrical DVD is vanilla, but the extended cut (same price) will include deleted scenes ("additional slashed scenes" as Warner calls them) and the featurette " The Rebirth of Jason Voorhees."

The Blu-ray will have those bonuses plus these exclusives:

• trivia track on the franchise, including picture-in-picture footage
• "Hacking Back/Slashing Forward" featurette about the original movie
• "The 7 Best Kills" featurette
• BD Live

But that's not all for the franchise. Also on June 16 (prebook May 5), Paramount will release a bunch of new editions of the original movies:

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, Part VI: Jason Lives and The Final Chapter will arrive on DVD in Deluxe Editions, priced at $16.99 each.

And Part 2 and Part 3 3D will be released on Blu-ray priced at $29.99 each. The 3D one will include 3D glasses.
