The new American Girl DVD

VB reported a couple weeks ago that HBO was creating a DVD premiere movie for the new American Girl doll, the Girl of 2009. At the time, we didn't have other details about the live-action movie, but now we do!
On Jan. 6 (prebook Dec. 2), HBO will release An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong. Chrissa is the first contemporary American Girl, and the companion doll and book will be released a few days before the DVD.
In the movie, Chrissa Maxwell moves to a new town mid-school year and must fit in, but first she has to overcome teasing and bullying from the Mean Bees.
The DVD will be priced at $24.98.
Warner distributes HBO product.
