Hamlet 2 DVD

Universal is getting the irreverent comedy Hamlet 2 out before Christmas. The $4.9 million-grosser will bow on DVD only on Dec. 23 (prebook Nov. 4). This more male-skewing title joins two just-announced female-leaning titles that day: The Women and The House Bunny.

If you missed Hamlet 2 in theaters (many, many did), it stars Steve Coogan as a failed actor turned high school drama teacher who stages a politically incorrect musical sequel to Shakespeare's classic tragedy. Catherine Keener, David Arquette and Elisabeth Shue also are in the cast.

The DVD, priced at $29.98, will offer up commentary, deleted scenes, two making-of featurettes and a sing-along (LOL).
