Eye of the Dolphin date change

Monterey Media has changed the street date of Eye of the Dolphin, postponing it until Oct. 2 (prebook Aug. 28) to make time for a larger theatrical release.
Monterey oftren puts films onto a few screens to gain added exposure. Eye of the Dolphin was due to hit DVD May 1 after it screened in a couple theaters, but Monterey says the response to the film has been so great, it's getting an additional summer theatrical release.
According to the supplier, Eye of the Dolphin star Carly Schroder won the Best Child Actor Award and the film won Best Drama at the Int'l. Family Film Festival, and it got attention at Tribeca and won the Silver Award in the Coming of Age category at the Houston Film Festival. Read our review.
