Stephen King set, Robocop 20th anniversary
May 10, 2007

MGM (distributed by Fox) is bringing back some oldies but goodies.

Timed for the July 13 theatrical release of 1408, based on a Stephen King short story, MGM is celebrating past hits from the acclaimed horror writer with a Stephen King DVD Collector's Set. Misery (my personal favorite; Kathy Bates rocks as an obsessed, mean, well, you get the point), Carrie 25th Anniversary Special Edition, Needful Things and The Dark Half will be packaged together on July 3 (prebook June 4) priced at $39.98. The also will be available individually repriced at $14.98 each.

Then on Aug. 21 (prebook ), MGM honors the man of steel -- not that one, the other one -- with the Robocop 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition. The two-disc set comes with, as the press materials describe, "an urban arsenal of explosive bonus materials." Nice!

And what are those explosive bonus materials? See for yourself:
