Premonition DVD and Blu-ray
May 14, 2007

Poor poor Sandra Bullock. All the men she's interested in are dead, or maybe dead. That's the case in her movies, at least.

Her latest, the spooky looking supernatural thriller Premonition, her husband is dead in her dreams and alive when she's awake, or the other way around; I'm not sure which.

(For the sake of not giving things away, I won't say which was the other dead-boyfriend film I was talking about, but watch her most recent work and you'll see it -- it wasn't Crash.)

Anyway, Premonition did look pretty entertaining in the trailers -- which potential for groans, however -- but it brought in $48 million at the box office, which is a pretty decent haul. Hey, it's no Spider-Man 3.

Sony is delivery the movie to DVD ($28.95) and Blu-ray Disc ($38.96) on July 17 (prebook June 14) with a bunch of extras on both formats:

  • Deleted Scenes including an Alternate Ending with optional Director's Commentary
  • Blooper Reel
  • Glimpses of the Future: Making Premonition – A look at the making of the movie with interviews from the cast & crew
  • Bringing Order to Chaos – A look at the major events of the movie put in 'normal' order, narrated by director Mennan Yapo
  • Real Life Premonitions: The Truth About Seeing The Future – A documentary about real life people who have had premonitions into the future
  • Audio Commentary with Director Mennan Yapo and Sandra Bullock

The "Real Life" one looks interesting. It's always great when special features show you the real side of the movie story.
