True-Life Adventures

Remember Disney's nature films? Remember how you were always disappointed to find out it was one of those and not a cartoon on The Wonderful World of Disney? Oh come on, I was.
Anyway,
Disney is delivering
True-Life Adventures, what the company calls a new Disney Legacy series, on Dec. 5 (order now) in four two-disc volumes ($32.99 each). Roy Disney gives an introduction on each set, and among the docs featured are
White Wilderness (1958),
The Living Desert (1953),
The Vanishing Prairie (1954) and
African Lion (1955).
As an adult, I think I can probably appreciate these Oscar-winning documentaries and shorts much better now.
