Borat, Supercroc mail
March 8, 2007
What an interesting day for mailed movie promotions.
First off: Along with the sell sheet for
The Asylum's
SuperCroc Super Uncut Version came two plastic eggs that when hatched, have croc keyrings inside which little tags that say "SuperCroc April 3, 2007" on one side and "I ate L.A." on the other. These crocs don't really look big enough to eat a cockroach much less L.A., but we'll give it a B for the effort.
Incidentally, if you haven't heard of this movie (I hadn't), the sell sheet says: "In this non-stop action adventure, an elite military unit must stop a giant amphibious creature from reaching Los Angeles."
Here's
some info from CD Universe, which is apparently selling the original version.
And here's
The Asylum's Web listing, complete with trailer.
Next up: Fox's promotional mailing for
Borat has secured my husband's Halloween costume this year (or maybe not...). Along with a postcard saying "Come to Kazakhstan" with a picture of Borat touching a rather skinny goat, I got a "Borat Seksy Moustache: Female Success Guarantee" and that lovely green swimsuit Sacha Baron Cohen bravely donned for the movie. Come on, honey, you sure you don't want to wear that in public? :)
And if you don't remember that green suit (how can you not!), here's a
pic from TMZ while Borat was in Amsterdam. What is that on his head?
This mailing gets an A.
