Terminator—The Sarah Connor Chronicles
May 19, 2008

Like promised, the Terminator is back. But this time, the film series has been adapted for the small screen in Terminator—The Sarah Connor Chronicles, whose first season will be released by Warner Home Video on Aug. 19 (prebook July 15).

The first nine episodes of the Fox series will be released on DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.99), both of which will include such bonuses as the “Creating the Chronicles” featurette, commentaries, a gag reel, cast audition tapes and deleted scenes, cutely named “terminated scenes.” There also is an extended director’s cut of episode “The Demon Hand.”

The TV series stars 300’s Lena Headey as the title character, who is trying to prepare her son (Thomas Dekker) for a war against machines that want to annihilate the human race. The three-disc set will be released around the premiere of season two, so those who missed the original airings can catch up in time for the next run of new episodes.
