Juno DVD, Blu-ray
February 20, 2008
Four-time Oscar nominee Juno will be released April 15 (March 19) on DVD and Blu-ray, and Fox promises "a massive marketing campaign rivaling that of summer blockbusters." The movie also will be the first Fox DVD sold at Starbucks.
After much critic acclaim, Juno was nominated for statues in Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actress (Ellen Page -- check her out in Hard Candy, really great).
Starting off with a limited release and expanding wide, Juno has grossed $117.5 million.
Fox also has partnered with Screenvision to promote Juno through an in-theater entertainment program focused on women in film and featuring Page and screenwriter Diablo Cody.
The single-disc ($29.98) will include commentary by director Jason Reitman (who made a splash with the irreverent comedy Thank You for Smoking) and Cody, 11 deleted scenes, a gag reel and screen tests.
The two-disc set ($34.98) also will have four featurettes and a digital copy of the film, good for transferring to a computer or portable device, including iPods.
Blu-ray ($39.98) will have everything from the two-disc set plus two Fox Movie Channel featurettes.
