Epic Movie
March 15, 2007
Fox is bringing out an epic-sized DVD for its $39 million-grossing Epic Movie. The flick bows May 22 (prebook April 25) in the theatrical PG-13 version and an unrated version, each priced at $29.98.
The rated disc will include commentary by writer/directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, storyboards, "Family Affair" featurette, casting tapes and Adam Campbell's tour of the Willy Wonka Factory.
Funnily enough, the unrated version doesn't appear to have the same bonuses and more. Instead, the only overlap is the commentary, according to the press release. The rest of the package includes three featurettes -- "How Gratuitous," "Everyone Loves Beaver" and "Making the Video: Pirate Rap" -- a gag reel, alternate ending and a Movie Channel piece (seriously, that's what the press release says, "Movie Channel Piece." Your guess is as good as mine as to what that means.).
