Heroes: Season 1 DVD and HD DVD

If you're anything like my husband and I, you're really bummed Heroes is over ... until the next season. I haven't seen the finale from last night yet -- we have it recorded on our DVR -- but I'm already looking forward to the next season.

The show is really great. Finally, something fun and exciting on TV to look forward to watching.

Universal is bringing season one out on DVD ($59.98) and HD DVD (yay! $99.98, wow!) on Aug. 28 (but we're excited about it now!!!), prebook July 24.

The seven-disc set reportedly has a 73-minute original series premiere that wasn't aired on TV, 50 deleted scenes and an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette.

How about an HD DVD game where we get to choose which hero power we want then set out to save the cheerleader?

As well as the fact that this series is hugely popular, NBC has ordered sex episodes of a spinoff (yep, already) called Heroes: Origins. So this show isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Stock up.
