Open Season 2 DVD, Blu-ray, PSP
September 11, 2008
Sony will release Open Season 2, a DVD premiere follow-up to the $84.3 million-grossing original theatrical animated comedy, on Jan. 27 (prebook Dec. 25). It will be available on DVD ($28.95), Blu-ray ($29.95) and for the PSP ($29.94).
The sequel features the voices of comedians Joel McHale, Mike Epps and Billy Connolly, along with 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski. In this movie, the wild animals from the original face off against domestic pets.
The DVD will include deleted scenes, games (Frisbee with Elliot and "Fix That 'Doo" doggy glam activities), featurettes and an exclusive animated music video for "Who Let the Dogs Out."
Here's the full synopsis from the studio:
After falling head over hooves in love with Giselle (Krakowski), Elliot's (McHale) road to the altar takes a slight detour when Mr. Weenie (Cody Cameron) is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Boog (Epps), Elliot, McSquizzy (Connolly), Buddy and the rest of the woodland creatures launch a full-scale rescue mission for their sausage-shaped friend and soon find themselves in enemy camp: the world of the pets. Led by a toy poodle named Fifi (Crispin Glover), the pets do not plan to let Mr. Weenie go without a fight.
Sounds fun.
