Conventioneers DVD
August 27, 2008

With the Democratic National Convention making the news right now, it's good timing for Cinema Libre to re-price its 2005 romance Conventioneers.

The movie tells the story about a young Republican man who, during a trip to New York to be a delegate at the 2004 Republican National Convention, falls for a girl who's a Democrat and in town to protect the RNC. Cinema Libre calls the film, which won the John Cassavetes Award at the 2006 Independent Spirit Awards, a "Romeo and Juliet story set against the real 2004 RNC that explores the consequences of the divide in American politics."

Very timely.

The new price is $14.95.

Extras include a making-of featurette, alternate takes, alternate endings, "Arrest shorts" and commentaries.
