License to Wed DVD, HD DVD, Blu-ray
September 6, 2007
Warner's $43 million-grossing romantic comedy License to Wed will walk the video store aisles on Oct. 30 (prebook Sept. 25) on DVD ($28.98) and both high-def formats (HD DVD Combo $39.99 and Blu-ray $34.99).
The box-office take wasn't too bad for light fare such as this, no doubt buoyed by the very likeable Mandy Moore and The Office's John Krasinski playing the soon-to-be-newlyweds and Robin Williams as their overly attentive priest.
On DVD, the movie will be a single-disc in widescreen or fullscreen. And all editions will carry additional scenes with optional director's commentary (strange that there's no full length commentary, but maybe Warner's saving that for a special edition) and an interactive "Ask the Choir Boy" feature, in which users can choose which relationship/marriage questions the Choir Boy answers on his late night talk show.
