Avengers Has New Heroes

Marvel's Animated Features line is going PG with its next title. On Sept. 2, Lionsgate will release a new generation of superheroes in Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. The DVD premiere focuses on the four orphaned teens of Avengers members Captain America and Black Widow, Wasp and Giant Man, Thor and Black Panther, who learn to hone their powers and then fight the world-threatening enemy who’s responsible for their parents’ demise. Next Avengers, which Lionsgate boasts has “greater kid appeal than ever before,” will be available on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc.—Laurence Lerman
