Ice Age 3 tops DVD sales
PHYSICAL: Transformers still No. 1 DVD rental, Blu-ray title

NOV. 4 | PHYSICAL: 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs debuted as the No. 1 DVD seller, according to Rentrak. The $196.3 million-grossing film is the third in the Ice Age franchise. Ice Age 3 also was available in a two-DVD pack with The Scrat Pack, which was the No. 4 DVD seller.
Meanwhile, Paramount Home Entertainment’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen maintained its No. 1 position on the DVD rental chart and the Blu-ray Disc rental and sales charts.
The action sequel was this year’s biggest box-office hit, grossing more than $400 million in the U.S.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment’s DVD premiere Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure was the No. 2 DVD seller this week, showing the strength of the studio’s Fairies franchise.
And Warner Home Video’s new release Orphan, which grossed $41.6 million in theaters, made a strong debut on the DVD rental charts at No. 2. It was the No. 6 DVD seller.
