Warner to distribute Oscilloscope films on VOD

DIGITAL: Movies to be released same day as DVD, some before theatrical

JUNE 30 | DIGITAL: Warner Bros. Digital Distribution has inked a deal to exclusively distribute Oscilloscope Laboratories (O-Scope) films on video-on-demand and digital platforms, the companies announced today.

The partnership began with O-Scope’s May 5 release Wendy and Lucy, which debuted on VOD and digital download on Comcast, Time Warner, iTunes and Amazon Video On Demand the same day it was released on DVD.

O-Scope films will be distributed on VOD and download-to-own the same day they debut on DVD, with some films debuting simultaneously with their theatrical release.

Warner will distribute O-Scope’s films on VOD and download-to-own across all platforms, including cable, satellite, digital and wireless.

Upcoming releases include Oscar-nominated documentary The Garden, Scott Walker: 30 Century Man and Treeless Mountain.
