Amazon honors Earth Day with month-long promo

April 14 | Amazon shoppers can save money in honor of Earth Day.The online retailer has kicked-off its Earth Day Savings promotion, an opportunity for customers to save on everything eco-conscious—from organic groceries to environmentally-sensitive toys and games—throughout the month of April. A collection of discounted green media, including documentaries on DVD, also are available through the promotion. A number of titles that feature green packaging can be purchased at a savings of up to 50%.
Also, an Earth Day Sweepstakes, co-sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy’s Energy Star initiative, offers Amazon shoppers the opportunity to win one of five Toshiba laptops and a number of Brother printers. Each of the prizes has received an Energy Star certification based on their energy efficiency. The sweepstakes ends on Earth Day, April 22.
