> So-so comedy has likable players, but a thin script.
After a raucous bachelor party in Las Vegas, four college buddies (Christian Oliver, Seamus Dever, Evan Helmuth, Jonathan Murphy) get airlifted into Mexico. Penniless and stranded, they must make their way back to the States in time for the wedding. A low-budget offering cast with personable third-tier actors, Ready or Not reflects inspiration from any number of films, including Bachelor Party and Very Bad Things.
Shelf Talk: Ready or Not isn’t likely to be any viewer’s first choice, given the unknown cast and formulaic story line. The film also is rather tepid for an R-rated comedy, so you can’t count on great word-of-mouth. It’s strictly grade-B, direct-to-video material.
