CBS Interactive returns fire

Content Agenda

By Paul Sweeting -- Video Business, 2/20/2009 6:42:00 AM

CBS Interactive, the parent company of TV.com, has stuck back at Hulu after the News Corp./NBC joint venture pulled its content from TV.com's Web streaming portal.
In a terse statement issued Thursday to the Wall Street Journal, CBS Interactive said it is "well within its rights to stream Hulu video content on TV.com under its agreement with Hulu. We are evaluating our next steps at this time."
The Journal posted a brief item on the statement on its Web site late Thursday night.
According to the Journal report, neither side would comment on whether it is still possible that Hulu content could appear on TV.com.
As of Friday morning, NBC and Fox TV series were still unavailable on the CBS Interactive-owned site.
