The Game: Life After the Math is first title in multi-year deal

By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 10/9/2008

OCT. 9 | Vivendi Entertainment has signed a multi-year output deal with Polychrome Home Video.

Under the pact’s terms, Vivendi will distribute all Polychrome content on DVD, video-on-demand, mobile and Web platforms.

Vivendi’s first Polychrome release under the new deal is hip-hop film The Game: Life After the Math, streeting on Oct. 21.

Since launching in 2005, Polychrome releases 10 to 12 features annually, spanning drama, comedy, horror, urban, music and special interest genres. The supplier’s titles were previously distributed by Warner Home Video.

“Vivendi offers a one-stop-shop distribution home,” Polychrome co-founder Geno Taylor said. “I’m excited about the relationship and look forward to serving independent filmmakers, in all media, on a major studio level.”

Yolanda Macias, senior VP at Vivendi, added, “Vivendi is dedicated to providing the very best in distribution services to our partner companies. We are thrilled to work with Polychrome and their varied slate of exciting feature films.”
