Willmoss Films launches preschool DVD series

It's Monkey Time! bows Sept. 2

By Susanne Ault -- Video Business, 8/22/2008

AUG. 22 | New DVD company Willmoss Films, founded by former Genius Products’ chief operating officer Rodney Satterwhite, is launching new preschool animated DVD series It’s Monkey Time! next month.

Willmoss has partnered with Brandissimo! on the series’ production and release. The first of four installments, entitled Meet the Monkeys, bows on Sept. 2, priced at $11.98. Subsequent titles will street each quarter.

In Meet the Monkeys, viewers will learn about dental hygiene, sharing and the alphabet. Bonus features include coloring exercises, achievement awards and two music videos.

It’s Monkey Time! follows a zoo trainer and a clan of monkeys on various educational adventures. Story lines also are designed to boost children’s fine motor skill development and social skill awareness.

It’s Monkey Time! reflects my passion to not only give kids a healthy entertainment option, but one that is an affordable, quality content alternative that truly allows parents to turn playtime into learning time,” said Satterwhite.

Brandissimo! CEO David Snyder added, “Our objective in making the series was to create a healthy entertainment environment that provides a platform for nurturing early parent/child learning relationships. Having met that objective, we are thrilled to offer the preschool marketplace a unique product.”
