By Marcy Magiera -- Video Business, 7/28/2008

JULY 28 | The Digital Entertainment Group elected a new board, led by chairman Bob Chapek, president of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, and president Ron Sanders, president of Warner Home Video.

The trade association also appointed Larry Wilk, WDSHE VP of worldwide operations, as its green ambassador.

DEG member companies elected a new board of directors to serve from Aug. 1 to July 31, 2009.

The board then voted to elect the five officers responsible for leadership and oversight of DEG’s agenda, budget and executive staff. In his role as DEG green ambassador, Wilk will help promote the DEG's green initiatives, including acting as a conduit between the five recently formed DEG green task forces for metrics, replication, packaging, logistics/distribution and retail execution.
