Tidepoint launches cult horror label

First title from Bone House Asia debuted June 24

By Cindy Spielvogel -- Video Business, 6/25/2008

JUNE 25 | Tidepoint Pictures has launched Bone House Asia, a new DVD label for bizarre cult horror.

The first title, Long Dream (Nagai Yume), from director Higuchinsky, was released June 24. The DVD includes interviews with the director and manga creator Junji Ito plus other extras.

“There is much more to Asian cult cinema than what typically gets shown in the U.S.,” said Tetsuki Ijichi, president and CEO of Tidepoint. “With Bone House Asia, we want to open up American audiences to the fresh voices of talented Asian filmmakers who will challenge your mind and disturb your sleep.”
