A trip to Planet B-Boy

Arts Alliance America documentary looks at world of break dancing

By Cheryl Cheng -- Video Business, 6/23/2008

JUNE 23 | HOME MEDIA EXPO: Arts Alliance America will offer a look at the underground world of B-boying, aka break dancing, when it releases documentary Planet B-Boy on Oct. 28 (prebook Sept. 23; DVD $19.95).

The film chronicles the international dance movement, following dancers competing at the Battle of the Year finals in Germany.

Arts Alliance is hoping its dance title will capitalize on the popularity of such TV shows as Dancing With the Stars and America’s Best Dance Crew. Extras on Planet B-Boy include premiere footage at the Tribeca Film Festival and interviews.
