> DVD friendly stars add marketing hook to farce in the Baby Mama mold.

Roller Girl and Felicity Shagwell as a mother? What would Dirk Diggler and Austin Powers say? They'd probably remark that Heather Graham deserves kudos for stretching her kewpie doll persona for this Britain-based domestic comedy. Graham stars as Georgina, a woman who owns a construction company in England. When she hears her biological clock ticking, it's loud enough to dismiss her commitment-shy boyfriend, Zak (Tom Ellis). Things get worse when a fertility expert tells Georgina that she has only a few days to get pregnant, and the hunt is on for a proper partner. The premise is a solid one, and the approach is fluffy as opposed to provocative, which is more appealing to audiences looking for something light. Mia Kirshner (The L Word ) offers more cast oomph as Georgina's best friend.

Shelf Talk: Graham has a following on the home market and has been in several DVD premieres in recent years (Adrift in Manhattan , Broken ) that have done solid business. Though Miss Conception received sparse theatrical play (mostly in film festivals and a week-long run in Los Angeles), there are enough elements here to ensure solid business among couples and women—until the more well-known Baby Mama or Sex and the City hits the street.
