JAN. 14 | Gaiam is making a grand entrance into the wellness category this month with a series of 10 new DVDs co-branded with the Mayo Clinic
“We believe this is a new trend with active, aging people who don’t want to just stay fit but live a healthy lifestyle,” says Bill Sondheim, Gaiam president of direct response marketing and trade distribution.
The series targets common conditions such as back pain and high blood pressure.
“We believe that wellness may add a whole new dimension to the fitness category,” he says, particularly for the growing demographic of older Americans.
Titles available now are Mayo Clinic: Arthritis, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Heart Health, High Blood Pressure, Insomnia, IBS, Back Pain, Menopause and Weight Loss, each priced at $19.98.
Coming soon from the company are new titles from Billy Blanks and The Firm as well as new releases from a variety of instructors in the continually popular yoga and dance segments.
