SEPT. 29 | Rose Einstein, senior VP and publishing director for the Variety Group, is expanding her duties to include oversight of Video Business and other properties in Variety’s Home Entertainment Group.

Einstein, who was publisher of Video Business from 1998 to 2004, assumes responsibilities most recently held by Kevin L.J. Davis.

Davis recently was promoted to VP of online for the Variety Group, but for a time continued as publisher of VB as well. He will now focus completely on strategic revenue and content development for the Variety Group’s digital products, including VideoBusiness.com and its related digital products.

“At such a pivotal time in our business, we’re fortunate to have such strong internal leaders as Rose and Kevin to help us drive growth,” said Variety Group president Charlie Koones. “Their understanding of the rapidly changing home entertainment industry will allow us to accelerate online development and support our leadership position withinour markets.”

“I’m looking forward to again working more closely with VB,” Einstein said. “The home entertainment industry is beginning its most dynamic transition ever, providing VB the opportunity to evolve and further strengthen our leadership as a provider of must-have information.”

“I enjoyed tremendously serving as publisher of VB,” said Davis. “As the underlying business expands into the digital realm, we too are expanding our digital offerings to serve the broader industry.”

Both Einstein and Davis report to Koones. VB associate publisher Linda Buckley-Bruno and editorial general manager Marcy Magiera report to Einstein.
